Sucks >> it’s hard, it hurts, it’s frustrating, it’s sad, it leaves a gap, it leaves us wanting something we had and don’t have anymore, it leaves an imprint of a thing and the memory of it but not the thing itself

Yes, it sucks.

Also what would our existence be if we never lost anything special? This feels similar to my question of, “what if there were no mosquitoes in the world?” Would the whole physical earth implode? And also similar to my question of, “what if we didn’t have anyone to ‘pray’ for or anyone whom we ‘hoped better for’?” Would we realize we’d built all of our meaning around lamenting things, on wishing they were different, on longing for things lost?

>>>whom: I sometimes just love holding to the object form of this pronoun because of how it can give illusions of a person being highly educated and proper and oh-so proper. I sometimes love casting it away to tear back the illusions and dance wildly in the beach grasses.

Anyway sometimes what I really feel is that I see how it sucks to lose something special and also I bathe in it and double down on loving the thing for loving me so.

In this case, my Imogene and Willie t-shirt is missing and it’s all too fitting!
