What is it?

From Marshall Sandman: “what opinion are you right about that most people have wrong?”

For a second I thought the core question was, what’s one of your opinions?

But then I realized I have opinions about “most,” so the core question became, what does “most people” even mean?

1. to know “most,” we’d need an idea of the total
2. what’s the total we’re considering?
3. how do we come to know our own opinions, let alone anyone else’s?
4. how many people have told us their opinions?
5. how many have we actually listened to?
6. of those, how many have we given the time to make sure we really understand their opinion, not just heard what we want to hear or what we think they’ll say or are intending to say?
7. there are billions of people in the world
8. really what does most mean?
9. an ongoing investigation
