a foundational API

named using both the vocabulary of the underlying network, and the vocabulary of abstractions, consequent states and external conditions.

The hey mom API is the mother API

did I just give it two names? Or, did it just reveal to me it has two names, reflecting not two identities but two windows into its being?

Or, is the mother API the mother to all the other APIs, but it itself is not the API used access the Mom network?

Or, is it one in the same, where “is” expounds on the function and positioning of the hey mom API, so that the mother API is a predicate adjective while also grammatically taking the position of a predicate nominative?

And it comes to the surface that we run into potential insufficiencies of grammar, wherein the “grammatically correct” answer is maybe not the, what some might call, “ontonologically correct” answer.

When we reach for this thing floating in the waves, and it pulls us into itself a little more, we begin to wonder, maybe there’s a place for the “predicate ontolog.”

Hey Mom…
